Something New

Greetings Narrow Gate,

I pray everyone of you is well and prospering. We had a scare this weekend. My daughter Emma, ran a fever with headaches beginning last Thursday. This meant that Kristi, my wife, and I had to quarantine the whole weekend until we found out Emma's Covid test result. It was negative. Just a regular virus. Those are still around. Just like nurse Laura says, "wash your hands and say your prayers, germs and Jesus are everywhere." We're very thankful for the negative results, from both the rapid and the mail in tests.

Today I will be brief. It feels like springtime, wet, muggy even. 2 Corinthians 5:17,

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

I pray that as this pandemic recedes, we can welcome in the new. At Opportunity House we are all about new creations. Our people choosing difficult changes that help to get them off the street. I wonder what Narrow Gate will look like. I am afraid it will never be the same as it was. It will be different I am sure, something new, not necessarily bad. Join me in praying about this, will you?

Totally unrelated. As we speed towards Easter, I want to give you a gift. Most of us are stuck watching TV more than usual. Come on, admit it. Kristi found a great new Christian series that you can stream. It's called The Chosen. If you have not seen it, we both recommend it, two thumbs up. The screenplay and acting are great. You will recognize several of the actors as well. There are 8 episodes in this first year. The second year is in the can, ready to be released. The third year is in a fund raising stage, with 80% or so of the money raised. It is crowd sourced, so if you want to donate you can, but it is offered free to everybody.

Go to google and search for The Chosen by Vid Angel productions. Then just download the app to your phone. You're then set to go. You can also upload the app to your Roku of Firestick to stream to your TV.

I remember Easter as a time to watch movies: The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur, The Greatest Story Ever Told, etc. This is a perfect series for the family to watch. Again, it is well done. There is not a one of the first 8 episodes that did not make me tear up. The Holy Spirit is all over this series. Also, each episode is only 30-40 minutes in length. I would share more, but I don't want to be a spoiler. Jesus is awesome, I promise you will be blessed. Check it out.

Do no harm, do good, stay in love with God.

Blessings,
